Welcome to Chania

WELCOME TO CHANIA 2024
  • True to our human nature, we all need to get together and travel either for business, or for interacting with other mates, or just for pleasure!
  • A travel to taste and smell the aromas of another country, to enjoy new experiences or just to have a good old plain fun… by visiting Crete will invariably combine all of the above!
  • Crete is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. It forms a significant part of the economy and cultural heritage of Greece; while it retains its local cultural traits (such as its dialect, poetry and music). Crete was the centre of the Minoan Civilization (2700–1420 BC), the first Civilization in Europe and the first European country with a palace, the Minoan Palace of Knossos.

Visitors reach the island via two international airports in Heraklion and Chania, or by boat to four main ports (of Heraklion, Chania, Rethimno and Ag.Nikoalos).

An estimated fifteen per cent of all arrivals in Greece come through the city of Heraklion (port and airport), while charter journeys to Heraklion the previous years reached the 20% of all charter flights in Greece. The airport of Chania is also an international airport serving multiple locations across Europe.

In Crete, you will have the chance to admire the remnants of brilliant civilisations, explore glorious beaches, impressive mountainscapes, fertile valleys and steep gorges, and become part of the island’s rich gastronomic culture. Crete is, after all, a small universe teeming with beauties and treasures that you will probably need a lifetime to discover.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Crete offers a wide range of activities,
including hiking in the stunning Samaria Gorge, cycling through
picturesque villages, and sailing around the island's rugged coastline.

Not to mention Chania town and Heraklion town some of the biggest towns in Crete, which boast magnificent medieval architecture.
